Chillers and heat pumps

Energy efficiency
Energy efficiency and climate policy are becoming increasingly important in production. The industry faces numerous challenges in this regard: On the one hand, various requirements must be met due to legal stipulations such as eco-design regulations, refrigerant regulations, and the Building Energy Act (GEG). On the other hand, in view of rising energy costs, energy efficiency must be strategically utilized as a success factor for competitiveness.
In developing our products, we are constantly setting new standards for energy-efficient technologies. Modern heat recovery systems integrated into the cooling system offer an innovative solution for making the heat energy extracted from a process available for heating purposes. With the intelligent combination of other innovative systems, such as full inverter technology, free cooling, or adiabatic cooling, we not only comply with current regulations—we also work every day on new solutions to meet the requirements of the future.
Fail-safe
Stability and continuity are more important factors than ever for the business success of a manufacturing company. A key prerequisite for this is a smooth production process so that production never comes to a standstill, thereby avoiding high downtime costs. Redundant systems are essential to ensure consistent, uninterrupted operating time.
With Mitsubishi Electric, you can rely on systems with redundancy functions that automatically switch on additional available units in the event of a malfunction. We also offer units with two refrigeration circuits—designed for maximum performance at full load and for uninterrupted operation in the event of a failure in one of the two circuits—as well as systems with two separate power supplies. The safety net is complemented by smart controls for remote monitoring, which provide early warning when maintenance is required.

chillers
Cooling & Heating
Chillers for process cooling
Absolute reliability is required for cooling industrial processes. That is why powerful chillers with precise temperature control and high reliability are used in industrial cooling. They are used in production and factory halls for machine cooling, process cooling, or warehouse cooling. Typical industrial applications include the chemical, pharmaceutical, and automotive industries, as well as the plastics, metal, and food industries.
Water-cooled chillers
Cooling For indoor installation
If the chiller is water-cooled, the condenser is also connected to a cooling water circuit. This allows water to circulate between the cooling unit and a cold water source. A water-cooled chiller is the ideal solution for indoor installation if the waste heat is dissipated via an external recooler or an existing cooling water source.
Air-cooled chillers
CoolingFor outdoor and indoor installation
Air-cooled chillers are equipped with fans. These direct ambient air over the condenser, causing the refrigerant to release heat. The units are compact, reliable, and usually designed for outdoor installation. However, chillers with higher pressure on the fans can also be used for indoor installation, allowing them to be connected to a duct network.
air conditioning systems
Cooling and heating
Climate systems for comfort applications
In industrial environments, not only production areas but also offices and other areas where people are present must be supplied with cooling and heating. That is why we also offer our industrial customers highly efficient systems with direct evaporation for comfortable air conditioning. Whether VRF or hybrid VRF systems – they can be designed and planned very flexibly and offer top energy efficiency values.
Industrial heat pumps
Heating, cooling
Large heat pumps and multifunctional heat pumps
Heat pumps offer convenient solutions for heating, cooling, and hot water production in industrial environments and can also effectively provide process heat. Instead of heating the building conventionally with fossil fuels and cooling it with chillers, a large heat pump can perform both functions. This results in lower investment costs, but above all lower energy costs. The use of waste heat from industrial processes, including for comfort applications, is particularly energy-efficient. In the process environment, heat pumps are also used for drying processes.
We offer air-cooled and water-cooled heat pumps, as well as air-cooled and water-cooled multifunctional heat pumps for the simultaneous and independent production of cold and hot water. This results in interesting savings potential.
