CITY MULTI HYBRID VRF – for office buildings and hotels

Hybrid VRF technology offers a sustainable solution for buildings where refrigerant pipes are not desired on the premises. While the refrigerant circulates exclusively between the outdoor unit, hybrid BC controller, and hydro unit, only water is used as an energy source in the building itself. A clever system: After all, it requires significantly less refrigerant and is ideally suited to the air conditioning requirements of the future in view of increased legal requirements.

EFFECTIVE FILTERS – EVEN AGAINST VIRUSES

From dust-free to antibacterial: depending on the technology used, our filters remove bacteria, mold, allergens, dust, and even viruses from the air. In laboratory tests, the Plasma Quad Plus filter system was even able to neutralize 99.8% of SARS-CoV-2 viruses in 6 hours. Most of these effective filters are already integrated into our MSZ-LN, MSZ-EF, and MSZ-AP wall-mounted units and the MFZ-KT chest unit. Retrofitting a filter is also easy.

Air conditioning FAQ

Your questions
How loud is an air conditioner?

With a sound pressure level of just 19 decibels at a distance of one meter from the unit, Mitsubishi Electric offers one of the quietest air conditioners on the market. Your ears perceive this noise level as even quieter than the sound of leaves rustling in the wind. The units are therefore virtually silent and ideal for cooling your bedroom, for example.

How energy efficient are air conditioners?

Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning systems are designed to be energy efficient. This is mainly thanks to the energy-efficient inverter technology in the outdoor units, which continuously adjusts to the actual cooling or heating requirements. The units thus achieve energy efficiency classes of up to A+++ (energy efficiency classes from A+++ to D). Thanks to smart control via the MELCloud app, even more energy can be saved with the absence or timer function.

Can an air conditioner create draught?

Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning units have various functions to prevent draught. They have flexibly adjustable louvers for airflow control. This allows the airflow to be controlled flexibly. If desired, an almost horizontal airflow is even possible. The 3D i-see sensor detects the number and position of people in the room and directs the airflow away from them or, if desired, towards them.

Can air conditioning be unhealthy?

No. The important thing is to set your air conditioner correctly and to maintain and service it regularly. Mitsubishi Electric air conditioners are equipped with filters that filter dust, pollen, bacteria, viruses, or dirt from the air, depending on the filter type. These filters must be cleaned at regular intervals. You can clean the filter yourself as part of your routine cleaning, but this does not replace regular maintenance by a specialist. If this is done, an air conditioning system can actually improve the quality of the air in the room. It is just as important not to set the desired room temperature too low. A difference of just a few degrees from the warmer outside temperature is enough to ensure a pleasant indoor climate in summer.

How are air conditioning systems and allergies related?

First, the most important information: As a rule, it is very unlikely that air conditioning systems trigger allergies or are associated with allergic reactions. This is because modern, well-maintained air conditioning systems serve exactly the opposite purpose: to clean the air in the room of allergens such as house dust or pollen. Well-maintained air conditioning systems are therefore not only suitable for allergy sufferers, they are even recommended.

What impact does air conditioning have on the environment?

Refrigerants in air conditioning systems contribute to the greenhouse effect when released into the atmosphere. For this reason, the use and marketing of refrigerants are strictly monitored and regulated by EU law through the F-Gas Regulation. The sale, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of air conditioning systems may only be carried out by appropriately certified specialist companies and their trained employees. This ensures that no environmentally harmful refrigerants escape from a closed refrigerant circuit in the air conditioning system.

How does a split air conditioner work?

Each split air conditioning system consists of an outdoor unit and at least one indoor unit. The outdoor unit is always located outside the apartment or house. Depending on your requirements and the number of rooms to be air-conditioned, there are two ways you can use your M-Series system: as a single split system for one room or as a multi-split system for several or particularly large rooms. Split air conditioning systems work in exactly the same way as heat pumps – which is why they are also called air-to-air heat pumps. In the transitional periods in spring and fall, you can use a split air conditioning system to warm the air in the room and thus heat it. This allows you to save on the costs of operating your main heating system.
