For buildings with high domestic hot water requirements, we offer two innovative solutions: the Mitsubishi Electric QAHV hot water heat pump and the Climaveneta EW-HT series high-temperature heat pump. Based on different technologies, both heat pump systems generate large quantities of hot water, making them ideal for large buildings with high hot water requirements. The systems are used as hot water heat pumps and drinking water heat pumps in large apartment buildings, dormitories, and sports facilities, as well as in commercial and industrial applications such as hotels, shopping centers, and factories.

The innovative solution for high domestic hot water demand: By utilizing Mitsubishi Electric's unique technology, the heat pump ensures extremely reliable operation with high efficiency even at low outdoor temperatures.At the same time, the refrigerant used meets all climate protection requirements.

  • Natural refrigerantCO2: R744 has a very low global warming potential (GWP) of 1 and no ozone depletion potential (ODP) of 0. Carbon dioxide is also non-toxic, non-flammable, and chemically inactive, making it a virtually ideal refrigerant from an environmental and safety perspective.
  • High heating performance all year round for extreme climates: The QAHV hot water heat pump is capable of delivering full heating performance even at outdoor temperatures of −3 °C. In addition, the units are operational at ambient temperatures as low as −25 °C and capable of delivering hot water at 90 °C – with a hot water COP of up to 3.88.
  • Innovative technology: In this novel heat exchanger, three connected refrigerant lines are wound in a spiral around the helical water line, achieving maximum heat transfer. The technology also includes a flash injection circuit, which supplies the system with the optimum amount of refrigerant via the specially developed compressor, thus ensuring particularly stable operation. A new inverter scroll compressor offers another decisive advantage: it provides a considerable increase in efficiency that fixed-speed systems cannot match.

Ideal complement for different temperature levels

In heating systems or for the production of domestic hot water, where high temperatures are required, conventional heat pumps often reach their limits or do not work efficiently. For such requirements, the devices in the EW-HT series serve as boosters to raise an existing temperature level to the required level.

  • Particularly efficient: the EW-HT series from Climaveneta
    The high-temperature heat pump uses an existing heat source as an energy source, cools it down, and makes the extracted heat available to a consumer circuit with a high temperature level. The source temperature can be between 12 °C and 40 °C. The temperature level in the consumer circuit is between 55 °C and 78 °C.
  • Ideal complement: The high-temperature heat pump is suitable, for example, in applications where most of the consumers are panel heaters or fan coil units, but individual areas still have radiators that require a higher temperature level. Another interesting application is the use of panel heaters with a low temperature level and the required generation of domestic hot water. Other areas of application include process applications and the use of waste heat from wastewater.
  • Innovative technology: The device has two independent refrigeration circuits, each with a scroll compressor optimized for this application and electronic expansion valves. The heat exchangers for the source and consumer circuits are designed as compact plate heat exchangers to keep the space requirements as small as possible. Regardless of the 8 different output sizes, only just over 1 m² of installation space is required.
