A key theme of Mitsubishi Electric’s trade show presentation is the sustainability of its product solutions, which is reflected not least in the increased, cross-sector use of appropriate refrigerants. For example, with the MSZ-RZ wall-mounted unit from the M Series, we are showcasing a residential air-conditioning solution that operates on R290 (propane with a GWP of 0.02, according to IPCC AR6) and, thanks in part to its environmental credentials, emerged as the top-rated product in a Stiftung Warentest comparison.

In addition, there are innovative additions to the R32 City Multi VRF portfolio: With the YXM series, Mitsubishi Electric is launching a new, completely redesigned generation that provides the best conditions for reliable, scalable, and code-compliant project implementation, along with even greater flexibility.

AbstractThe MEHP-iB-G09 series, Mitsubishi Electric’s first air-cooled, reversible air-to-water heat pumps using R290 refrigerant (GWP = 0.02 according to IPCC AR6), has been available since July 2026. The compact MEHP-iB-G09 units, which are eligible for BEG subsidies, are designed for comfort applications in the commercial sector. They cover a capacity range from 12 to 38 kW and can be connected in cascade with up to four units as standard. This forward-looking plug-and-play monoblock solution is characterized by high seasonal efficiency values, simplified installation, a well-designed refrigeration cycle, and advanced control functions for optimizing heating performance.
