SPF calculator - seasonal performance calculator for your heat pump

The relatively complicated calculation procedure for calculating the seasonal performance factor (SPF) is significantly simplified with the SPF calculator tool from the German Heat Pump Association. After entering the project information, the relevant data for the heating limit and system temperatures are selected. By directly selecting the heat pump system and other information relevant to heating and hot water, the tool accesses the required stored data. The tool performs the calculation by clicking on the "Update" button.

Annual coefficient of performance calculation relevant to subsidies

The Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) promotes the purchase of particularly efficient heat pumps. In order to receive the funding, the application must be accompanied by mathematical proof of the calculation of the annual coefficient of performance at the system temperatures used as a basis. The calculation carried out with the SPF calculator in accordance with VDI 4650, Sheet 1 is sufficient as proof of efficiency for the subsidy for the heat pump installation.
