Success story2023
Natural refrigerants: heating and cooling solutions with R290 are making their way into the product range
The PUZ-WZ heat pump will be the first system with the natural refrigerant propane R290 to be added to the product range from 2023. Other systems, such as the MSZ-RZ air conditioning unit and the MEHP-iB heat pump, are in the starting blocks.

2023
MELRent - Rental service for chillers and heat pumps
With MELRent, Mitsubishi Electric is introducing a flexible solution. Ideal for companies with temporary or seasonal cooling or heating requirements. The service includes a wide range of units, rapid availability and comprehensive support during installation and operation. MELRent offers customized solutions for a wide range of applications, from event cooling to process cooling in industry.

2020
First VRF direct expansion system with R32
The City Multi VRF air conditioning systems are now also available with R32 refrigerant. An alternative solution with many advantages: With a GWP (global warming potential) of 675, R32 is around 2/3 lower than the GWP of R410A. In addition, the refrigerant R32 also has around 20 % higher volumetric cooling capacity than R410A.

2019
First HVRF R32 system with R32 as refrigerant launched on the market
Mitsubishi Electric has expanded its Hybrid VRF system (HVRF) to include products with the refrigerant R32. Sizes from 22.4 to 33.5 kW are available with R32. Others will follow.
Europe's first HVRF-Y system with R32
Mitsubishi Electric is expanding its successful Hybrid VRF system (HVRF) with the Y series, which is suitable for heating or cooling. The refrigerant used is the efficient R32. Until now, the Hybrid VRF system was only available as the R2 series for simultaneous heating and cooling with the refrigerants R410A or R32 .

2016
Merger of the Mitsubishi Electric, Climaveneta and RC brands
The merger of Mitsubishi Electric, Climaveneta and the RC Group creates real added value. The product range will be more diverse, the range of solutions wider and the range of refrigerants more extensive.

March 2016

Award for MSZ-FH
The "MSZ-FH" air conditioner from Mitsubishi Electric is the test winner in the current test - issue 7/2014 - for air conditioners from Stiftung Warentest. The following test criteria were used as a basis: Energy efficiency, cooling properties and comfort, other environmental properties and handling. In addition, the air conditioner was certified as having the most even temperature distribution and the lowest noise level.
Growth continues
After Belgium, Mitsubishi Electric opens its own branch in Poland.
27.01.2014
Starting signal for the new company building
The go-ahead is given for the construction of a new office and administration building in Ratingen-Ost. Reasons for the new building: lack of growth potential at the old location and the division of employees into four buildings. All divisions are united under one roof at the new location.

2010
Division renaming
The Air Conditioning Division of Mitsubishi Electric, German branch, has been known as Living Environment Systems (LES) since April 1. With this renaming, the company is taking account of the expansion of its product range to include an additional focus on heat pump systems. The "Zubadan" and "Ecodan" heat pump series are being successively expanded. As not only air (Air Condition) but also media such as water will be used in future, it was necessary to change the name.
From now on: Heating with Ecodan
Mitsubishi Electric presents its Ecodan heat pump system at a major press conference. A heating solution that offers tailor-made solutions with application-optimized combinations of one outdoor and one indoor module.
